Terms of Use
Last updated: October 2026
These terms apply to your use of the DocPlus website and apps, operated by DocPlus Technology Limited ("DocPlus", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using DocPlus you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. What DocPlus is
DocPlus is a technology platform that connects patients with independent doctors, partner pharmacies and partner laboratories. We also help patients arrange second opinions and treatment abroad. DocPlus is not itself a hospital, pharmacy or laboratory.
2. Not for emergencies
3. Medical advice
- Consultations are given by independent doctors who are responsible for their own clinical judgment.
- Online consultations have limits. A doctor may advise you to be examined in person or to seek urgent care.
- Articles and other content on DocPlus are for general information. They are not medical advice and do not replace a consultation.
- Give your doctor accurate and complete information, including your medicines and allergies.
4. Your account
- You must be at least 18 to hold an account. A parent or guardian may book for a child.
- Provide accurate details and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- If you book for another person, you confirm that you are allowed to act for them and share their information.
5. Bookings, fees and payments
- Prices shown to patients in Nigeria are in naira.
- Some doctors set their fee in another currency. The naira price is calculated from the exchange rate and fixed when you book.
- Payments are processed by third-party payment providers. We do not store your card details.
- A booking is confirmed only after we have verified your payment, where payment is required.
6. Cancellations and refunds
You can cancel an appointment from your account. Whether a refund applies depends on the timing and the circumstances, for example if a doctor cancels or a payment was taken in error. Contact support and we will review your case.
7. Medicines and lab tests
Medicines and tests are supplied by licensed partners, who are responsible for their products, stock, delivery and results. Prescription medicines are supplied only where a valid prescription is required and provided.
8. Doctors and partners
Doctors, pharmacies and labs on DocPlus are independent businesses or professionals. They must hold the registrations and licences required for their work and follow the law. DocPlus charges them a commission or fee as agreed with them.
9. Acceptable use
Do not misuse DocPlus. That includes giving false information, attempting to bypass payment, harassing doctors or staff, trying to access other people's accounts or data, interfering with the service, or using it for anything unlawful.
10. Your data
We handle personal and health information in line with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law, including the Nigeria Data Protection Act.
11. Intellectual property
The DocPlus name, logo, website, apps and content belong to us or our licensors. You may use them only to use the service.
12. Limits of our responsibility
We work to keep DocPlus available and accurate, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. To the extent the law allows, DocPlus is not liable for medical outcomes, for the acts or omissions of independent doctors and partners, or for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under law that cannot be excluded.
13. Suspension and changes
We may suspend accounts that break these terms. We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version, and continued use means you accept the changes.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes are subject to the courts of Lagos State, unless the law gives you another right.
